Science. Simplicity. You.

Who We Are

The Story Behind Strawberry

Strawberry began with a simple belief — that nutrition should be both personal and practical.

The name has roots in my childhood. When Apple Inc. became a household name in the early 2000s, my brother would make our whole family watch every launch event. Back then, I told my dad that when I start my own company, I’ll name it Strawberry — my favorite fruit. Two decades later, that dream has taken root.

Driven by data, science, and empathy, Strawberry was created to help others find balance — not through restriction, but through awareness and sustainable habits. What started as one person’s search for better health has grown into a mission to simplify nutrition for everyone.

Founder Story

From burnout to balance

Hi, I’m Shruti Garg, founder of Strawberry and a certified Nutritionist and Health Coach.

For years, I looked healthy on the outside but didn’t feel it on the inside. I battled stubborn acne, digestive issues, bloating and constant fatigue. Despite eight hours of sleep, I woke up tired. My skin broke out in painful, pus-filled acne that I tried to hide with makeup. I had no idea it stemmed from hormonal and digestive imbalances.

At the same time, my corporate career left me stressed and disconnected. I wasn’t waking up motivated and the pressure started showing on my body — not just in my skin, but in my energy, mood and digestion.

Hitting that low point became my turning point. My years in healthcare equity research had already exposed me to how the business of health often prioritizes profit over people. That realization deepened my curiosity about the other side of health — prevention, nourishment and holistic care.

Looking back, that spark was always there. My mom had a deeply naturopathic approach — using her “natural remedies first” mindset quietly shaped my own. I also grew up an athlete — winning medals every year on Sports Day and even a 2.5-mile marathon trophy at 14 — perhaps my first lessons in discipline, balance and body awareness.

I enrolled at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in 2022, where I learned the science behind how food affects hormones and energy. A year later, I became a certified Nutritionist and Health Coach — and in 2025, I took the plunge, leaving corporate life behind to fully pursue my passion and build Strawberry.

As I began applying what I learned, I started experimenting with small but powerful shifts: adding colorful vegetables, eating mindfully, meditating regularly and focusing on nutrients that improved absorption. Slowly, my body started to respond. My skin cleared, my energy returned and I began to feel alive again. The acne that had stayed with me for nearly a decade finally healed — and I’ve now gone over two years without a single severe breakout.

At home, my husband became my ever-patient recipe tester and biggest supporter — happily volunteering as my “nutrition guinea pig” through every new experiment.

Outside my work, I’m endlessly curious about movement, mindfulness and nature. I have hiked in 19 of the 63 U.S. National Parks — each one a reminder that balance, just like health, is built through exploration and consistency.

Strawberry was born from that transformation — and from a lifelong belief that true health is built, not bought. My mission is simple: to help others heal from within, balance their bodies naturally and feel truly energized again.
